  • Aerospace Robotics Competition Spring 2025

STEM-ED is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization that holds drone events designed to give students hands-on engineering experience to prepare them for potential STEM careers. We would love to connect with you about participating in the Spring 2025 New England regional Aerospace Robotics Competition (ARC). This is an excellent opportunity for students to get real and relevant engineering experience and interact with like-minded peers and volunteers from industry and academia.

The project is semester-long and competition day will be hosted at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. Students will learn about and get hands-on experience with:
Software: programming their drone for autonomous flight
Hardware: building their drone and designing mechanisms to accomplish mission tasks
Flight: earning their FAA trust certificates and practicing flying for competition day
Technical communication: creating a technical presentation about their team strategy and designs and briefing a group of industry professionals
The event is held at multiple regions across the country, with a National competition following shortly after. There will be cash prizes ranging from $500 - $2000 and participants are eligible to apply for the ARC scholarship.
