AIAA New England in collaboration with AIAA's Space Systems Technical Committee (SSTC) is now collecting responses for the 2024 middle school essay contest. Each year we release a theme for 7th and 8th grade students to explore and write about, with an aim to spark increased interest in space/STEM. We're holding a local section contest for schools in the New England region and the section leadership will submit one winning essay from each grade to the national contest(run by the SSTC). Ultimately, the AIAA SSTC evaluates the entries from participating sections and awards prizes to the top 3 places in both grades.
This year's topic relates to the effects of space observation on any chosen industry.
Our local section contest deadline is April 30th. Kindly send us your local winning entries before the national contest deadline on May 13th. Please reach out us if there are any questions.
