Webinar: Does NORAD Still Matter? By Maj Gen (Ret) J.L. Briggs. Former Director of Operations, U.S. Northern Command

Please join us this month when Maj Gen Jack “J.L.” Briggs, U.S. Air Force (retired), gives us an inside look at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the combined U.S. and Canadian military organization responsible for protecting both countries from air and space threats.   Beginning with an overview of how NORAD came about, Gen Briggs will take us through how it works today, in theory, and practice, and how twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, U.S. and Canadian airmen work together to keep North America secure.

A thirty-one-year Air Force veteran, Gen Briggs’ last three assignments all involved NORAD, including a two-year tour in Winnipeg as the Deputy Commander, Canadian NORAD Region, and Deputy Commander for Operations, 1 Canadian Air Division.  He has over three thousand flying hours in fighter aircraft and is a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross with valor and seven Air Medals.

Pre-registration is required.  Use this link https://tinyurl.com/4x8at3sy to register and receive your invitation to attend on the 15th.
