Link to ARISS - Amateur Radio on the International Space Station

28 May, 2019 10:18

ARISS provides an opportunity for Educational Outreach to students where students can ask questions, live, to an astronaut on the International Space Station.  This is done using a radio link and Amateur Radio ("Ham" Radio).  It is an incredible opportunity to reinforce STEM passion in students.  Use the link to go to the ARISS web site.  Submit a proposal with a school (there are proposal submittal dates listed on the site).  When you are selected, you are assigned an Amateur Radio Technical mentor to aid with the technical aspects of the contact, and an Educational Ambassador to help with the International Space Station classroom education. Students (and adults) will remember this event the rest of their lives!
