The Phoenix Section of AIAA has a couple of events scheduled for April. The first will be a fun trivia contest next Monday April 12. Note that that date is the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s spaceflight and the 40th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle launch. With that in mind, the trivia contest will have a space theme. And there will be prizes! So jump on Zoom starting at 6:30 pm and we’ll get teams set up and start the questions at 7.
A week later we’ll go high-speed as we plan to learn about what the U of Arizona is up to regarding hypersonics research. We’ll hear from Dr. Roberto Furfaro, a professor in the Aerospace and Systems Engineering departments at the U of A. This will be April 19 at 7 pm.
