The San Fernando Pacific Chapter sponsors an annual essay scholarship contest for graduating high school seniors who plan on a career in a STEM field.
For 2021, up to $2000 will be awarded in prizes. The total number and value of the awards will be determined based on the number of entries. To enter, students must submit a 500 to 600 word essay on the topic:
Is a civilian supersonic transport aircraft a worthwhile endeavor for the United States? Justify your position. Consider: Were there any challenges or issues that influenced your position? What are the potential advantages or disadvantages of having such capabilities? Who should be involved in its development (e.g., government agencies, private companies, or some combination)? What would be the roles and responsibilities of those involved?
DEADLINE EXTENDED: All entries must be received by Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:59pm PDT by email.
