Lt Col Jeffrey Newcamp, PhD, is Deputy Commander, 96th Operations Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He is responsible for the full spectrum of flight and ground test for 15+ weapon systems and leads 700+ personnel.
Lt Col Newcamp is a distinguished graduate with top cadet honors from the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Notre Dame. He was the top aeronautical engineering graduate student at AFIT in 2005 then served as an aircraft battle damage repair engineer, serving a deployment to support Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following graduation from Test Pilot School, Lt Col Newcamp served as initial cadre for the F-35 developmental test program. Lt Col Newcamp has taught aviation courses at the University of Notre Dame and engineering courses at the United States Air Force Academy. He holds a PhD in aerospace engineering from the Delft University of Technology in Delft, Netherlands.
