Tammy Ashraf is a NASA Program Lead and systems engineer whose work spans Earth science mission operations, technical integration, and cross-agency collaboration. She holds an M.S. in Space Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and brings extensive experience in STEM mentoring, workforce development, and community-building. At the Project Management Institute (PMI), she launched a Young Professionals Community of Practice that grew from a local initiative to a global network. Tammy is passionate about strengthening the aerospace talent pipeline, creating pathways for early-career leadership, and building a vibrant, interconnected AIAA community that bridges government, industry, and academia.Tammy is also a former member of Johns Hopkins University’s AIAA Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics (WoAA), where she supported community and mentorship initiatives for early-career women in the aerospace field
