  • AIAA CbA Challenge Problem - SciTech 2027 Abstract Information

AIAA CbA CoI Participants and Interested Individuals,

The AIAA SciTech 2027 call for content is now live, which means it will soon be time for us to submit abstracts. You can find information about the abstract submission process on the SciTech 2027 website below:

    https://scitech.aiaa.org/call-for-content/call-for-papers/abstract-submission-process-requirements/

In order to efficiently organize all CbA Challenge Problem submissions, the CbA CoI organizing team had created a template abstract. It is very important that you use this template when submitting your abstract. Doing so will allow the organizing team to easily identify your papers among all other (potentially thousands) of SciTech abstract submissions. If you like, you can also email the organizing team to let us know when you have submitted your abstract so that we can keep a list and make sure none are lost or left out of our special session(s). The sample abstract can be downloaded from engage using this link Sample Abstract AIAA SciTech2027

To ensure your paper is correctly assigned to this Special Session, while submitting please select:

    • Presentation Type: Technical Paper
    • Topic: Uncertainty Quantification (Non-Deterministic Approaches)
    • Sub-topic: Certification By Analysis Challenge Problem (CFD 2030, APA, UQ)

    Best regards,

    The CbA CoI Organizing Team

  • Challenge Problem has been published

    Hello Everyone,

Thank you for expressing interest in the AIAA Certification by Analysis (CbA) Community of Interest (CoI). As was discussed at the AIAA Aviation conference in July, the CbA CoI organizing team is proposing a community Challenge Problem, and we are excited to kick things off this fall with the broader community. For more detailed information on the Challenge Problem, make sure to read our AIAA Aviation 2025 paper:

    https://doi.org/10.2514/6.2025-3107

The CbA CoI organizing team has created a survey (link below) which you / your organization can complete to express your interest in participating in the problem. This is not a firm commitment, but will allow the organizing team to gauge how large the active community membership is expected to be. Also, during the discussions at the conference, many of you expressed interest in finding partners to compliment your skill sets for joint submissions (e.g., someone with CFD expertise might wish to find a partner with structural analysis expertise). A section of the survey will allow you to complete some information that will help the CbA CoI organizing team facilitate these teaming requests.

Please complete the survey at your earliest convenience, but no later than September 30, 2025. Please also feel free to forward to anyone who might be interested.

    Thank you,

    The CbA CoI organizing team
