Hello AIAA Southwest Texas Section University Engineering Students!

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Southwest Texas Section (SWTX) is now accepting applications through March 28, 2025 for its annual scholarship competition among engineering students in the SWTX section! Up to $1500 in awards will be given to individuals who are targeting a future career in the aerospace sector. The review committee will determine how to divide the total scholarship amount among the selected awardee(s). We’ll be requesting transcripts to verify eligibility and also a personal statement demonstrating and conveying your interests and passions in aerospace! We hope to see your application submission and also get inspired by you!

Eligibility Requirements
Junior or below standing in an engineering discipline at a school within the AIAA SWTX Section.
Expected date of degree completion after August 2025.

Application Package Requirements
1. Name and Contact Information (i.e., email address, phone number, and mailing address)
2. Personal Statement - 800 words maximum, figures and images allowed (Uploaded in Form or Emailed)
3. Transcripts with listed GPA (Uploaded in Form or Emailed)

Please submit the Google Form and (if needed) email your personal statements and transcripts to erin.decarlo@swri.org at or before the deadline of 03/28/2025 at 5:00pm CT. The scholarship awardee(s) will be announced by 4/18/2025.
