    The AIAA Greater Huntsville Section is a member of the Huntsville Association of Technical Societies (HATS). Member organizations for HATS have the opportunity to publicly recognize one of their own for exceptional professionalism for the Professional of the Year (POY) and Young Professional of the Year (YPOY) awards. We ask you to help us in identifying a nominee for each of these awards by completing the nomination form for the POY or YPOY of the year and submitting it to distribution@hsv-aiaa.org by August 22nd, 2022. A nominee must be a current AIAA GHS member and for YPOY must be 35 years old or younger. A nominee should demonstrate excellence in some professional (e.g., technical, managerial, or community) work or activity that is concerned with broad and beneficial technical, scientific, social, or economic consequences. This excellence shall be exemplified in his/her workplace, AIAA GHS, and/or volunteer efforts in the community. S/he has exhibited an extraordinary dedication, creativity, or leadership in that work or activity that results in excellent contributions to the technical and economic development of the City of Huntsville and the surrounding areas (activities such as education, mentorship, training, knowledge transfer, STEM initiatives, etc.).

    Note: Please do not submit nominations directly to HATS. Any nomination must be submitted to HATS by AIAA GHS and not directly by the nominator.
