    Our October professional lecture will feature Dr. Colin Tucker, Director of Technology Development for Aerojet Rocketdyne's Defense Business Unit's Advanced Programs Sector.  This event will take place on Wednesday, October 19th at 6 PM.  The location is South Huntsville Public Library (classroom) -- address 7901-L Bailey Cove Road.  Dr. Tucker's talk is entitled "Perspectives in U.S. Hypersonics Activities" and will begin at 6 PM.

    About Dr. Tucker: Colin Tucker is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and an AIAA Associate Fellow. He spent 25 years on active duty in assignments including a cruise missile propulsion engineer, teaching propulsion and thermodynamics at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and serving as the Lead Systems Integration Engineer for the F-35 Joint Program Office. His last assignment was at the Pentagon where he was involved in the standup of U.S. hypersonics programs and helped direct Science & Technology investments to facilitate the transition from technology demonstrators into prototypes with warfighting capability.  Colin earned a masters and doctorate in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and currently works at Aerojet Rocketdyne as the company's Director of Technology Development for the Defense Business Unit's Advanced Programs Sector.
