    Join the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section for our November professional lecture event with Tinesha Ross. This event will be held at Huntsville Downtown Public Library (auditorium) on Tuesday, November 29th at 6 PM.  The auditorium is located at the end of the hallway to the right as you enter the library. 

    Tinesha Ross, a native of Fairfield, Alabama is a Senior Manager of General Procurement and Construction for Launch Operations and Production Operations at United Launch Alliance (ULA). In this role, she leads the Supply Chain strategy and execution of small/mid/large commodities, purchases and subcontracts focused primarily on optimal support of production and launch operations. With a passion and vision to enable customer and mission success, she develops supplier acquisition and delivery strategies and provides execution leadership delivering superior operational performance in support of Government and non-government launch programs.  Ross brings 23 years of aerospace industry experience to her position at ULA, including 10 years at ULA's rocket factory in Decatur, Alabama as electrical systems test engineer, and 12 years of experience at her company's headquarters located in Centennial, Colorado. She recently returned to the Decatur Rocket Factory in 2021.

    A passionate community volunteer, Ross is a frequent guest speaker in schools across the country and advocate for encouraging kids to get excited about careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields and sharing her personal story about overcoming the odds during her rough childhood (losing her mother to a house fire at the age of 9, and for keeping her eyes on the prize when a high school leader suggested she "set realistic goals" when expressing her desire to become an engineer because her family "didn't have money to send her to collegeThe Girl Scouts of Colorado have honored Ross as a 2019 Woman of Distinction and as one of the 100 Distinguished Girl Scouts Alumnae of Colorado. The Denver Business Journal recognized her as a 40 Under 40 honoree in 2015 and was recently honored by the Birmingham Chapter of NOBLE as a "WOMEN of the Year March 2022" National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.

    Ross holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Science degree in computer information systems from University of Phoenix and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in project management from American Continental University. She is also a 1995 Graduate of Fairfield High School. While at Alabama A&M, she was a member of the Marching Maroon and White Band, Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She one son, Chis, who is an extremely talented percussionists and a senior majoring in Sociology at the University of Northern Colorado.
