    GITAI S2:

Robotic Demonstration of On-Orbit Servicing Tasks on ISS

"We GITAI have successfully completed an autonomous ISAM demonstration inside the ISS in 2021 with a robot called S1. In 2024, the successor of this advanced robot, S2, will demonstrate its capabilities by performing a variety of on-orbit servicing tasks in an exposed environment on the International Space Station (ISS). With its image processing system and motion planning software, S2 is able to autonomously move ORU-simulated parts, fasten screws, and insert cables. An operator GUI and a visualization database on the ground computers allow the operators to monitor and control the robotic operation. We will present the overview of the system configuration and software of both S1 and S2."
