RSVP and Information

Following the proposed “Venus Sample Return Mission” (in the frame of ESA conference “Voyage 2050”) a somewhat simpler and less costly mission is proposed: landing on Venus surface a facility able to work at least on Venusian Year (and preferably one Earth year). This long duration is very interesting from the scientific point of view: long term variation of the atmospheric composition (suspected volcanic activity, nephelometry), seismology, surface wind variation.

These requirements require of course active refrigeration and very efficient thermal insulation.

The mission analysis shows also the interest of a data relay satellite (direct Venus – Earth relay will be lost due to mutual celestial bodies rotations).

The overall architecture of the probe will be proposed.
