    What?
    Daniel Raymer, author of Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach and several other design-related books, will present his speculation that a wing planform mathematically defined as a superellipse with exponent slightly greater than two offers reduced induced drag compared to a purely elliptical wing of the same planform area and span. This says that the Spitfire got it wrong! But CFD analysis seems to support this novel concept. Raymer will present the rationale, a not-too-painful explanation of the mathematics, and a collection of CFD results by an international team of volunteers.
