Second Chance Month: A New Frontier - the LA Fair Chance Ordinance

Center for Employment Opportunities Fair Chance Advisor Adam Foss will present on a new law that took effect this year and its impact on area employers, as well as the opportunity for the Aerospace Industry to tap into a talent pool often overlooked - those individuals seeking a Second Chance.

Lunch will be provided (by the speaker).

"Los Angeles County's Fair Chance Ordinance now applies to businesses in unincorporated areas, with fines of up to $20,000 for noncompliance. Based on your location you are likely impacted by this ordinance. While enforcement has begun, a six-month grace period allows time to address any issues.

To help, the County has partnered with the Center for Employment Opportunities to offer free education and technical assistance on job postings, background checks, and hiring practices."
