Dr. Remijan is a a Professional Development and Curriculum Specialist with the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA)based near St. Louis and is Director-at-Large for the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM). Prior to her current role, Dr. Remijan was a math teacher with 23 years of experience in the classroom. Dr. Remijan does instructional partnering, consulting, speaking/workshops, program development/review, and co-authoring of articles/grants. Dr. Remijan is the 2021 AIAA St. Louis Section Educator Associate Award Recipient and a Milken National Educator Award Recipient. Dr. Remijan has prepared future teachers as university adjunct, organized and led professional development as a k-12 grant coordinator for 13 counties in Illinois, traveled to Japan as a teacher ambassador with the Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program, written/published articles in various journals such as "STEAMing Up Linear Functions" published in the Jan/Feb 2019 edition of NCTM's Mathematics Teacher Magazine, written/received grants such as the Math and Science Partnership Grant, and continues to spearhead STEAM initiatives across all levels as a STEM/STEAM advocate.
