I am proud to have the luck and opportunity to work many aerospace & aircraft projects. As a student engineer in the Boeing Wind Tunnel Design Group, I helped design a blowing nacelle for a C5A proposal that was later used on the 747 and a composite monocoque flutter test wing for a SST proposal. On graduation from the U of Washington as an A&AE I accepted an offer as a structural analyst on the Apollo Command Module Inner Structures. I worked on many crew couch, controls, hatches, shell structures, docking and recovery systems including redesigns after the tragic Apollo 1 launchpad fire. From there, I went to Lockheed for a structural analysis & optimization methods group, aft fuselage structures and reengining studies for the L1011. Next I spent 20 years at TRW-Applied Technology Division on a great variety of projects including the Mars-Viking Lander Biology and Meteorology instruments, a spectrometer on Voyager, a nephelometer on Pioneer-Venus, many spacecraft propulsion & reaction control systems, high energy chemical lasers, and many other projects. I added dynamic analysis & test and fracture control analysis & NDI. Then I went to AiResearch Corp for the X-33 and several aircraft and Space Station environmental control systems. I then launched my consulting company dba GAMA Ingenuirity and worked many contracts including JPL on a Cassini camera, Rocketdyne on ISS truss structures, Boeing environmental & dynamic requirements and verification, Northrop F18-E/F composite doors, Kistler rocket structures, and F-35A composite doors & panels, and various commercial products. I am nominally retired, but continue working on a flyable replica of the 1903 Wright Brothers' Flyer and AIAA Technical Meetings for LA/LV Section. Continuing education at USC, UCLA Extension, CSULB, and company sponsored courses have qualified for an MS, except for a thesis.
